Exploitation and innovation management for UNITED-GRID

Solutions for intelligent distribution of grids. UNITED-GRID provides pathways for the future.

UNITED-GRID aims to secure and optimise operation of the future intelligent distribution networks. The grids unprecedented complexity is caused by new distributed market actors along with emerging technologies such as renewable generation, energy storage, and demand resources.

Climate change, aging energy systems, technological development and the wish to be energy independent are factors that drive change and development in the energy system. The project will provide integrated cyber-physical solutions and exploit the opportunities provided by the new actors and technologies.

IMCG acts as exploitation and innovation manager in UNITED-GRID. That means that we are securing the development of sustainable solutions during and beyond project. We have been appointed to this assignment due to our know-how in making relevant research results reach all the way to the market and make an impact both on society and market. In this project we also support with relevant regulatory and policy networks, as well as contributing with an Intellectual Assets Strategy Framework.

The UNITED-GRID project objective is to develop technical solutions to serve needs and opportunities for Distribution System Operators (DSOs) in their electricity grids. The project, carried out from November 2017 to April 2021, has received funding from the European Commission’s framework programme Horizon 2020. Grant agreement no 773717.
