Celsius

The EU’s largest Smart City project.

On behalf of the City of Gothenburg and Göteborg Energi, IMCG led the application process to obtain the highest score possible in the EU evaluation. We are responsible for creating business value in smart cities throughout Europe. We have developed a unique consortium of 21 leading partners including public authorities, local utilities, research institutes and universities in Gothenburg, Rotterdam, Cologne, London and Genoa.

Celsius is a cutting-edge project in the EU programme Smart Cities. The City of Gothenburg and Göteborg Energi are leading the project. IMCG manages business development, financing expertise, communications and project management. Celsius will contribute to a comprehensive expansion of district heating and cooling in at least 50 European cities. The project runs until 2017.
